Of Chocolate Brownies And Fairy Cakes
My favourite thing to do when I have a lot of inner turmoil is baking. It makes me feel relaxed. I recently discovered that my culinary expertise is actually non-existent. In the last week I cooked a pathetic excuse for a spaghetti Bolognese, some squishy chocolate brownies and fairy cakes that not even students would touch, let alone winged fairytale creatures.
Things I learned last week.
- I can’t cook fairy cakes. They turned into a kind of cake crossed with cookies. The icing was nice though- it tasted of lemons J
- I can (sort of) cook chocolate brownies. They were nice and turned out much better than I thought, seeing as I didn’t follow the recipe.
- I like Exmouth beach
- Some train stations are ridiculously easy to break into, seeing as they are essentially just bus stops that trains go to instead of busses
- Students don’t wash up. It took me and Rob 2 HOURS to clean the kitchen to bring it back to a fit state to cook in, just so I could cook spaghetti Bolognese.
On a happier note, I have some amazing new socks that are stripy and highlighter colours J And they are over the knee socks, which are amazing.
We can also not from this week that shrimps are annoying because they’re never in the rock pools when you’re looking in them.
Um… that’s all I guess.
